One of the most known theories that explains different learning styles is the is the VARK model. The VARK model includes four styles of learning: Visual, Auditory, Read/Write and Kinaesthetic.
Visual learners learn by seeing and are better able to retain information when it’s presented in the form of a graphic depiction.
Auditory learners learn by hearing and listening to information that is presented to them vocally. These learners also often thrive in group settings!
Read/Write learners learn by reading and writing. These learners succeed when information is presented to them in written form and from taking lots of notes!
Kinaesthetic learners learn by touch. These are sometimes referred to as ‘hands-on’ learners and thrive when all their senses are engaged during a lesson.
